Financial Independence Is a Worthwhile Goal
Financial independence isn't the solution to every problem, but it does provide the freedom and flexibility to make changes that improve your life. The emotional impact of shifting from wealth accumulation to wealth preservation and drawdown is something that's discussed quite often in the fi community. Is money meant to be accumulated, or is it meant to be spent? I think that it's both. Money is only as valuable as your clarity on how you will use it and your comfort level of how much is enough.
