The Long Term Legacy of Slavery Reparations
Reparations were paid to the slave owners in a variety of different ways. The british public taxpayers had been forced to use their own incomes to support the financing on a loan that the british government took out in 18 35. And so here, in somehow, embedded in this story, is the answer to the question of how a those decisions made almost 200 years ago now have implications in terms of policy and law.
