The First Cycle of Plagues
In the first three plagues, aaron's rod is used each time he takes his staff and works with it. These plagues aren't very severe against the people. They are warnings that if they don't repent, things will get worse. In cycle three, the plagues come from god, symbolized by the staff of god, and they come down from heaven. And at the end of the sixth plague, the magicians are actually driven out from moses presence.
