Introduction

In the perennial tradition, what is a soul? And for aristotle, you have it, the first grade of actuality of a natural body having life potentially in it. The question really is whether or not this distinction between plants and animals is true. That's really what we're looking at here to day. We are going to talk about sense rerspect, sense perception. What exactly is it? So again, from the deanima, perception comes about in the course of being moved and being affected. But of course, it has to be more sophisticated than that, because thermostats are moved and affected by the environment.
