The Inquiry Junior - What’s Killing Africa’s Elephants?

Elephants' Fair of Bees
African elephants can get stung by honeybees. Lucy decided to play bee sounds to elephants to see how they would react. And it turns out they run away and warn their friends about the danger. We've strung up bee hives around farmers' fields in a novel design which we came up with called a bee hive fence. If an elephant tries to push through between the two beehives, the beehives start swinging and release the honeybees. Most of the time it stops elephants going into fields and farmers can also sell the honey the bees make.
