Abraham Lincoln and the Black Hawk War
Abraham Lincoln's father was a kind of character that we are familiar with from literature and history. Very religious very sentimentally emotionally religious and yet brutal to his son right one of the best stories I can tell to describe this is that when Lincoln was president he once spoke to a room full of ex slaves and quite literally said that he knew what slavery was because he had been used like a slave. He actually carried a Bible around town just to argue with people about it so yes he was the village a lot of years and he also was very promiscuous but freaked out because he thought he was going to get some venereal disease is that true exactly true.
