Tether's CTO Paolo Arduino, is only willing to go in the press release as far as talking of Bitcoin's strengths. Circle, Tether's largest competitor, is also diversifying its holdings of US treasuries into the overnight so-called repo market. Both stablecoin issuers have stated bluntly that they're reducing their reliance on pure bank deposits.
