The CIA in Chile Was Catastrophic
The CIA involvement in Chile was catastrophic for the most part. Joe Biden and Gabriel Bordege, the president of Chile have agreed on supporting political dissidents who have been expelled from Nicaragua. These are not conservative businessmen but Sandinista commanders imprisoned by dictator Ortega. This is a big deal on both sides. Those who believe that we have a monolithic US government that stays up all night plotting the overthrow of every other government might be somewhat exaggerated.
