Howard Weiner: A Pioneering Figure in the Field of Multiple Sclerosis
Howard Weiner has been a pioneering figure in the field of multiple sclerosis. He's one of the leading figures in demonstrating that MS is an autoimmune disease and amenable to treatment by drugs that target the immune system. In many multistrocess patients now do pretty well on some of those drugs, but not yet for Alzheimer's Patients. So you know, it's a very interesting comparison. The MS world sort of offers you the hope of what can happen once you get to the bottom of the, of the causality of the disease. That's where we're at with multiple sclerosis. It's not a completely solved problem, but it's at least partially a solved problem.
