How Denver and I Discovered Financial Independence Before the Great Recession

The couple set a goal of 1500 days from January 1st, 2013 to hit their target. The original target was a million dollars and then we adjusted it because we don't believe in paying off our mortgage early. We ended up hitting our goal in 2016, right before my husband turned 40,.
