Kevin McCarthy and the House Republicans Passed a Bill Raising the Debt Ceiling

The president praised House Republicans for passing a four dollar bill to raise the debt ceiling. He said it was an important step back toward fiscal responsibility, and that Speaker Kevin McCarthy had all the leverage on his side. Trump also criticized Congress for adding money during the pandemic to tell everyone to go home for two and a half weeks.
