Masturbation as a Form of Reducing Stress
Masturbation serves a lot of really wonderful purposes. It could be anything from just decreasing stress to cultivating connection. When i'm exploring this with people, oftentimes they haven't asked themselves, why do i want to master bate right now? What's going on for me? Is this just a pattern? Or is it helping us to fall asleep? So we start being curious about what is happening and why. A coping skill can definitely be masturbation, but it typically involves a little bit more of that mindfulness.
