Ortega's Philosophy of Life

Ortega's main target is the average man who wants to be just like everyone else. The minority separates himself from the common values of the masses, by placing greater demands on himself and cultivating excellency. He coined a term racial vitalism, in which knowledge is based on the radical reality of life. This led him to pronounce his most well-known maxim: I am I and my circumstance, and if I do not save it, I don't save myself.
