The Saudis and China Are Part of a Multipolar World Order
The Saudis are playing both sides of this, right? They don't want to give up their sort of alliance with the US. But they also see the weakness in terms of the attempted destruction of their own economy. All of this green nonsense that's being pushed in the US and with the other G7 countries, it threatens their livelihood. So of course they're going to hedge their bets.
