Beecher: Workers comp law is sometimes taken to be a pro worker law. But what this case brings out is they say, whatever the compensation you got, you're fully compensated. So it's not like, what do I deserve? It's like, you're going to get what you are going to get. And so that's a really broad pattern and there's a lot of brutality built into that. Beecher: The court says she does have a right to file her suit because she's independently harmed.
