Do You Have a Family Advocate for Yourself?
I think obviously people with disability experience that discrimination. I would really family advocate for us to continue to believe ourselves because doctors sometimes confuse the one day they spent in medical school talking about something with a life experience of us living in our body minds. We know what our bodies are telling us and we can trust it. There's always going to be until we change these narratives around disability or around gender, until we are around race or around sexual orientation, until we change all of these narratives that discrimination is going to persist.
