Stalin Grad: The Battle of the Atlantic

Stalin grad was the spring of 1943, which is also when the Battle of the Atlantic reached a defining point. The U-boats sank 80 ships in the Atlantic that year but by May they were essentially neutralised. A whole series of technological advances had been coming on stream to counter this threat. These included use of liberator planes and special big lights for hunter aircraft.
