What Caused the Famine?

Since the twelfth century, ireland had been a colony of what was england. Historians agree that by the reign of elizabeth the first in the sixteenth century, all Ireland had been colonized. In 18 hundred, because thit had been rebellion in ireland, in 17 98, ireland lost its parliament in dublin. And so after 18 hundred, ireland was governed directly from london. But also there was an ideological difference in that ireland was very much looked down on by people who were governing at the time in london.
