75 years after independence, 60 % of all indians are dependent upon land for their livelihoods. Land is seen as not just an economic resource by them, but it is central to their individual and community identity, history and culture. And the goal behind the landwrites initiative has really to bring land back to the centre stage of the policy agenda.
