Tom Wolfe's new book, Wolf 250H Trek, is about a wolf that traveled 3000 miles across Alaska. The author says he was able to parcel out the research into little segments based on his own knowledge of the area. He also used weather records from US and Canadian governments as well as satellite tracking data for each location. "You have such an incredible worldview of this place," writes journalist Steven Johnson.
