The History of the NHS
The NHS was created after the Second World War by the Labour government of Clement Atley and stewarded in by Iron Bevan. It had a lot of gaps that reformers criticized, but it was by no means a failure. There were lots of arguments and debates about what healthcare should look like stretching all the way back from the very start of the 20th century when you see the first use of national health service around 1910.
