The fed is likely to continue cting rates because what they're worried about is whatever the largest forest fire at the moment is. They'll have to start easing aggressively to pull us out of the tail spin they cause by racheting up rates, as dan and i always say. I mean, if we were in their seat, we'd be doing the same thing. There's really no alternative for they're just reactive to whatever the current problem is. By the time they get to reacting to the current problem, they're causing a foreseeable next pro but they're so worried about the previous one that they just can't put out both of those fires at the same time.
