I'm Following the Science, Which Science?

The idea that science is a settled debate is actually kind of contained within the idea of following the science itself. The way that that has been foregrounded throughout the pandemic is rhetorically what I think has opened up so many opportunities for arguments like this to be reproduced. But on the one hand, you have to watch how tightly there's a sort of correlation being made here between a fantasized consensus around the science,. And a consensus being produced and handed down about public opinion.
