Victoria Apanasica was preparing for this contest for eight months. She actually came up with the idea of representing the symbol of Kiev, the capital where she lives now. A week before traveling to United States, the head of the director of Miss Universe Ukraine finds out that there would be a Russian participant on the same stage with Victoria upon Ashoka.
