In some respects, i think all of humanism has er ill prepared us for the kind of scholarship and science that we now desperately need. I have certainly convinced myself over the last 20 or 30 years, that historians and social scientists need to take the global environment seriously into account. And i think that comes across in this book. But i think it comes across more as a challenge to a humanity,. scholars o social sciences, a scientist, i should say, a to really consider the anthropace, but alsogest environmental issues, climate issues, in their work.
