The Japanese Military in the Early Twenties and Early Thirties

In the 19 twenties and then in the early 19 thirties, there are two groups in the military. One is quite cautious, called the control faction. They tend to be not exactly dovish, but they're certainly cautious. The other faction is probably the more interesting one for us. It's called the imperial way faction. Their ideology really goes back to the 18 eighties and prussian influence in japan's military. You have to have that spirit that says you'll make the first the surprise attack, if it comes to it. And where militaristic figures always necessarily war mongering? Is that a simple equation? I don't so no.
