The Battle of Cheriton

The battle of cheriton was the first out and out victory for parliament in the war. With the scots entering the war, the fairfaxes were able to go back on the offensive. The committee decided to break off the eastern association and send them up to guarantee victory in the north. This left essex and waller to co ordinate a campaign against charles.
