Stereoscopy and the Media
The stereoscopy chapter which is really the first case study in the book and historically so as well kind of narrates a similar trajectory. So it very much was drawing on this kind of idea of representation or mirror immediacy connecting us to the world. But in the end when you stare at it long enough, or you kind of understand your sitting in your living room at the same time as you're shuffling through these things it always is a little bit fake. And that's the kind of new real when we when the medium has so affected our everyday life right that that we really just can't even fathom something that we should be able to fathom without it.
