The People That Made It Rich After 1849
After the Mexican-American War, California became property of the United States. The miners weren't finding as much goals as they had in 1848. Levi Strauss created jeans for a lot of the workers of the gold rush. These were some people that opened up mining companies throughout the 1850s.
