Nancy Koonard is a very interesting woman. She comes from the famous Koonard shipping dynasty. Her mother was an American heir, so that was where the money came from. And she was one of London's great hostesses. So as Nancy Rolder, she was surrounded by all of her mother's contacts. But in a way she finds it very difficult to be taken seriously because the press really interested in what hat she's wearing or what fashion she's going to bring to the streets.
