The Problem With Project Financing for Coal

Sally Kohn: Financial institutions don't like people looking in closely at what they're doing. She says 65 private financial institutions have strong policies on project finance for coal, together with insurance companies. But that's a sliver of the financing; it's almost all now corporate finance she says. Kohn: The sort of global fight against coal has made it such that big institutions don't want to be explicitly tied to it.
