Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Analytical Engineer - Is That a Good Idea?

So i've been like the founding member of a data team ligked twice, and both times the zero tin of data maturity, and it's been both hundred extremely painful. I'm wondering how that changes some people's but i think either way, i think one of the first hours, if not the first once, should be like a data savy product manager who's already may be familiar with the company,. or who's already internal to the company.
