There are several things about being an occult that seem to affect the brain in the same way as substances. Maybe not to the extreme an extent, but it is enough to gradually over time damage the ability to make informed choices about the cult itself. And someone actually asked me about, you know, when I was talking, just a friend outside the group that I was talking to. He could see the negatives real clearly, but he couldn't quite grasp how great it was to be on the cutting edge of what God was doing on the earth. You know, there's a lot to research to be done, but it looks very interesting.
