What Is the Common Vocabulary in Italian?

In former days, that meant a readers with glossaries for german. The disadvantage is that very often the word you need is not in the glossary. People always make a big deal about false friends. To me, there's the odd false friend in these languages, it's not a big deal. A common vocabulary is a much greater benefit in learning a language. Buts false friends are a good thing, not a bad thing.
