The Fractal Emotions of a Benoit Mendelbrot
When I first started coaching, I didn't realize that my psychoanalytic repetition compulsion background was going to come into direct play. So by the time it came to write my book, and I had come across the concept of fractal, which is patterns repeated on different scales. The easiest way for people to think about that are stocks of broccoli or tree branches. One little small piece of broccoli really looks the same as the whole head of broccoli. It's just a different size. And one little set of tree branches kind of looks theSame as the whole tree, just a different scale.
