The Legend of Balboa

In 1517 or 18, Balboa was finally granted permission by Padreas to conduct an excursion to the south sea. He put together a force of about 300 men and headed up the coast to the fledging settlement of Acla. It would serve as a good jumping off point to the western side of the isthmus. His intention was to haul it over the mountains so that he could build ships.
