The Importance of Impartial Body in the Resolution of Electoral Disputs
John Avlon: The one major statutory intervention that we've had is inadequate and difficult to see how it would parse an actual dispute. What a number of other countries have done, he says, has created these kind of nine nonpartisan, impartial bodies empowered to adjudicate electoral disputes. Avlon: It seems very, very problematic to leave the solution of an electoral dispute to a partisan body.
