The Relationship Between Metabolism and Body Size

Figure one shows the relationship between metabolism and body size. Figure two is hypo-alimetry where for hypo, the slope is less than one; for hyper, it's greater than one. And so you could see the effect of body size on metabolism. This metabolic theory predicts a negative relationship between population growth and size. If B is greater than one, there's a positive relationship between maximal total biomass and size.
