Introduction
Accenture announced this week that it would be cutting 890 staff in Ireland. This follows on from 400 employees leaving the business in March and brings to almost 20% the number of Irish roles impacted by job cuts this year at the company. Other big tech companies here have announced layoffs over the past year, with potentially more to follow. Phil God is managing director of EXPLIO, a technology consulting group and arrival of sorts for Accenture. He tells me why he's optimistic about the future of the sector.
