GEICO's First Quarter Results Surprised on the Upside
The first quarter results surprised on the upside because of GEICO. A G. Jane who's in charge of the insurance business advice chairman pointed out they had favorable reserve development and it was a little bit of seasonality. So, it was a kind of earnings beat on that, but the go forward outlook not great. The prices in reinsurance are doing really well. And Berkshire, known as one of the smartest players, actually didn't participate. They're jumping back into reinsurance in a big way.
