The Concept of Real Guilt
Real guilt is the acknowledgement of actually having perpetrated harm on other human beings, right? That's not a displacement of some other psychic conflict. And then the flip side becomes in some sense to repair the self one has to participate in repairing the world. But one's obligation then extends beyond oneself to that world and that's part of the healing process to recuperate and affect a different kind of self by making amends in the world.
