Replica Consistency in Relational Databases
The author calls out here the consistency as it relates to acid refers to an application specific notion of the database being in a quote, good state. It has nothing to do with the database system itself. And then they called it out explicitly and said, for that reason alone, the fact that all this logic is on the application, the C shouldn't even belong in acid for database purposes. So it should just be aid.
