World Cup - It's Not Just American Athletes

Athletes in history have worked out how to seize the spotlight. Jesse Owens delivered a big American FU to Hitler at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Tommy Muhammad Ali, Arthur Rash and Billy Jean King are all stars of this World Cup. Marcus Rashford took on the entire British government during the food poisoning pandemic so that children could eat when they were hungry. Raheem Sterling is an incredible gent who recently confronted the entire nation about the racism that has existed in British football since its inception. And it's these people who give me so much hope as we head into this tournament.
