The Psychology of Al-Qaeda
CNN's John Defterios was sent to Bahrain by the British intelligence services in 2002. He found that Al-Qaeda had been planning a war against Saudi Arabia for more than a year, he says. "They were even scouting targets that are both American and British," writes Defterios. The resilience of Al-Qaeda members at the time is what kept their spirits high, he adds.
