How Schlieren Imaging Can Help Improve Contact Lenses
Schlieren imaging is a technique dating back to the 1800s. Measurements are made by looking at how light passes through liquids and gases. A company working with ESA invented a new variation called phase shifting schlieren. It can be used to inspect contact lenses and cataract patients' implants.
