The situation in the donbas is 'a bit of a stale mate', says Alexei Kovalev. The ukranians have started going on, basically on offence and are pushing back with artillery rockets to take hirson. In crimea every single county has been hit - russians who were vacationing there no longer feel safe. There's also places on the Russian mainland that border ukraine where residents are starting to freak out.
