Trauma
A trauma is basically a pain that we have not found the wherewithal to process and to understand. A friend who doesn't understand us or a moment in a relationship where we feel utterly bereft or alone are also kind of traumas. And so every day we are collecting little traumas and not processing them. 10 minutes of living requires at least five minutes of processing, as it were.
