The Contabernio and the Civil War
Franco's most striking idea was that the biggest problem in Spain and the reason why there had to be a civil war was sewers. His idea was that before municipal governments, councils and so on, installed urban sewerage, the working class used to be decimated by plague and pestilence. Because some noxious individuals had introduced sewerage, it meant that more members of the working class survived. And therefore, in his theory, every couple of decades, there had toBe a crusade to decimate the working class and bring it back to controllable numbers.
