The Quraysh's Interpretation of Beitul Makhdas

In the seventh year of the Hijra Abu Sufyan wrote a letter to Heraclius. He was not a Muslim at the time but asked if anyone had ever left the faith after having embraced it. This Hadith is in Bukhari. It's a very beautiful long narration. And this phrase says when the new spread amongst the Muslims some of them couldn't grasp it and they left the religion. We don't have any narration of a murthed in the Makkan era. So we can be a little bit lax about this phrase and say perhaps it's not accurate. Er teddu.
