The Right Abstraction Is More Costly Than No Abstraction

The wrong abstraction is more costly than no abstraction. I like the framing of tests as scaffolding, but then at the end, you know, some of the scaffolding gets ripped away and thrown out. Every test has a cost, a maintenance burden, run time, et cetera. There's always going to be a trade off there. But i think the test weet needs to serve the work that we're doing in the way that everything else does. And so occasionally you hav to leading tests is absolutely right thing to do.
